European champions England announce Wembley fixture against China PR | OneFootball

European champions England will take on Asian champions China PR in an international friendly fixture at Wembley Stadium later this year.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official press release from The Football Association this morning.

The two nations will meet at the national stadium on Saturday 29 November 2025 (kick-off 5.30pm). A sell-out crowd is expected to cheer on the Lionesses off the back of their latest UEFA Women’s EURO success.

England retained their trophy after defeating Spain 3-1 on penalties in the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 final in Basel on Sunday evening. The two sides had played out a 1-1 draw after both normal and extra-time.

November opponents China PR were AFC Women’s Asian Cup winners back in 2022. They will look to defend their title in Australia next year.

After England’s first post-EURO fixture was announced, head coach Sarina Wiegman said “After an incredible month and the celebrations this week, we are already planning ahead. It will be special to have a final visit to Wembley this year and something for us all to look forward to once the new season starts.

“Even though we have just finished the EURO, our World Cup qualifiers are not too far away. There are not many opportunities for us to play non-European opposition in the calendar, so I am happy we have been able to secure a top Asian side like China for this FIFA window.

“I’m sure China will give us a very different game to what we experienced in Australia. Whenever we face a squad where most of the players are based away from Europe or the United States, it is a new challenge and with the start of the qualification campaign soon approaching, this will be valuable experience with the 2027 World Cup in mind.”
