Yesterday saw positive news emerge on the injury front for Manchester City. Rodri was seen training with his teammates which was fantastic to see from a City point of view. There would be even more good news for Pep Guardiola’s side to emerge yesterday. Erling Haaland trained with his teammates as he continues his recovery from the ankle injury he sustained against Bournemouth at the end of March at the Vitality Stadium.
In images shared on Manchester City’s official X account, Erling Haaland was pictured training with teammates ahead of City’s Premier League fixture against Wolverhampton Wanderers. Pep Guardiola’s side takes on Wolves at the Etihad Stadium on Friday night.

Haaland has been out for four weeks due to the ankle injury he sustained against Bournemouth. He had to be substituted in the second half of City’s 2-1 FA Cup quarter-final win over Bournemouth. City’s top scorer went down after Lewis Cook fell across his ankle. He has subsequently missed City’s past six matches. But it does appear that he is now nearing a return to the pitch.
Manchester City take on Wolves on Friday. It is another crucial fixture in City’s bid to secure Champions League qualification for next season. It now appears that Erling Haaland could have a chance of returning to the City squad for that crucial match. An update on Haaland’s condition is expected when Pep Guardiola faces the media later today. If he isn’t back on Friday night then next weekend’s Premier League fixture against Southampton at St. Mary’s Stadium could see Haaland return.
