Manchester United played out a goalless Premier League draw against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The Red Devils were by far the dominant team for the opening hour of the game, but they lacked a cutting edge in the final third.
Alejandro Garnacho and Bruno Fernandes rattled the woodwork while goalkeeper Dean Henderson made several top-notch saves.
Despite the stalemate, there were some positives to carry forward. Andre Onana was exceptional in goal and made a stunning double save.
Matthijs de Ligt was dominant in the air and he produced another fantastic showing.
His ex-Bayern Munich teammate Noussair Mazraoui was another bright spark. The right-back had 100 touches with 54 passes completed.
The 26-year-old won ten ground and aerial duels. He also made five clearances and seven recoveries during the trip to Selhurst Park.
Mazraoui has looked at home right from the curtain-raiser against Fulham, and he is undroppable at the moment.
Diogo Dalot has been United’s regular right-back when Luke Shaw has been fit and firing at left-back.
Shaw is due to make his return in the coming weeks. Dalot, who has played at left-back lately, could drop to the bench instead of Mazraoui.
The former Ajax man has shown that he is well-versed playing as an inverted right-back and has looked comfortable from the off.
He is better offensively and defensively compared to Dalot, and he should keep his place when Shaw returns.
