Real Madrid youngster Endrick has moved to dedicate his brace against Celta Vigo to a fellow member of the club’s squad.
The name of frontman Endrick has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Madrid since last night.
This comes after the Brazilian international played a leading role in sparing the blushes of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad, in the Copa del Rey.
After welcoming the aforementioned Celta Vigo to the Santiago Bernabéu with a place in the Copa quarter-finals on the line, Real surrendered a two-goal advantage, to see proceedings forced to extra-time.
And, from here, it was Endrick who proved himself the hero.
After first rattling home a wonderful strike from the edge of the visitors’ penalty area, the 18-year-old later followed up with a sumptuous back-heeled finish, ensuring that Los Blancos emerged on the right side of a 5-2 result.
And, as alluded to above, post-match, Endrick was quick to dedicate his latest goals in the colours of Real to a fellow member of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.
Speaking to the media, the young attacker explained:
“I dedicate my goals to Rüdiger. He helps me every day.”
