Niels Nkounkou’s time at Eintracht Frankfurt may be coming to an end. Kicker report that the Frenchman has received two offers from abroad, one being from his home country. The 24-year-old was sparsely used in the Bundesliga last season under Dino Toppmöller, playing just 378 minutes across 12 games, only four of which he started after losing his place to Nathaniel Brown.
It would bring an end to his two-year stay in Germany after joining the club from Saint-Étienne for €7.5m in 2023. Holding a market value of €3.5m, per Transfermarkt, Eintracht Frankfurt would probably lose money on the French left-back, who has made 62 appearances in all competitions.
Eintracht Frankfurt made an effort to offload Nkounkou in January with Arthur Theate and Brown both ahead of the French defender at left-back. Fellow countryman Éric Junior Dina Ebimbe (24) also has an offer from France and could return to his home country.
