Edon Zhegrova lands in Turin ahead of Juventus move | OneFootball

Edon Zhegrova (26) has landed in Turin ahead of a move to Juventus, according to the club’s official X (formerly known as Twitter) account.

Olympique de Marseille had been keen to secure a deal for the winger, who has less than a year left on his Lille contract, particularly after they allowed Jonathan Rowe (22) to leave for Bologna following his bust-up with Adrien Rabiot (30). And reports broke that they had agreed on personal terms with Zhegrova on Friday.

However, this news came as a surprise to Lille president Olivier Létang, who told reporters that he had not received any contact from Marseille and had not granted them permission to speak to his player. Reports then emerged that Lille were refusing to discuss a transfer with Marseille.

Juventus, who had also been in the running, stole  in and pipped Marseille to the winger. With Fabrizio Romano writing that a bid in excess of €20m has been accepted by Les Dogues, while personal terms have been agreed with the player.
