Paulo Dybala admitted in an interview with Sky Sport that Roma’s defeat in Budapest from two years ago still haunts the team.

While discussing tomorrow’s showdown with Athletic Bilbao as part of the return leg of the Europa League Round of 16, Dybala said, “Unfortunately, that match left us with a very bitter taste,” referring to the defeat with Sevilla in Budapest.

“Especially for me. Being close to winning such an important trophy, you think about it often,” he added.

“There is still a long way to go until the final, tomorrow is very difficult but we have the desire to return to play in this stadium.”

“In the first leg we were very good, especially when they attacked us a lot, we limited their most dangerous players.”

“After their goal we reacted and found the goal of the lead which was important.”

“The importance of our fans? I’va always maintained from day one the Roma fans have felt as if I had always been here and I have the duty to give them something back and for this reason my greatest desire is to be able to win a trophy.”
