Douglas Luiz agrees to Nottingham Forest move | OneFootball

Douglas Luiz (27) has reached an agreement in principle to join Nottingham Forest, according to a report from French media Sports Zone.

The Brazilian is on the way out at Juventus this summer. He has struggled to replicate the form he showed at Aston Villa since making the move to Northern Italy. There have been off-the-pitch issues, too, with Juventus’ new CEO, Damien Comolli, saying that Douglas Luiz “disrespected” his teammates after he failed to report for pre-season training.

The former Aston Villa and Manchester City midfielder is now nearing a return to the Premier League, Sports Zone report. The Brazilian has an agreement in principle with Nottingham Forest. He is keen on a return to England and, as reported by Fabrizio Romano, Everton are also interested.

Whilst Nottingham Forest have an agreement in place with the player, there is not yet an agreement with Juventus, who are demanding a £30m fee. Nottingham Forest are not willing to meet that valuation and would prefer a loan move with an option to buy.
