Douglas Luiz is set to join Nottingham Forest from Juventus, with the Premier League club hoping to see the Brazilian undergo medical tests on Thursday.

Juventus midfielder Douglas Luiz is set to join Nottingham Forest for a free in the region of €30m.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Nottingham Forest and Juventus are exchanging documents so the player can leave for England today and undergo medical tests on Thursday, if all goes to plan.

Football Italia reported a few hours ago that Juventus had accepted to lower their transfer demands but were given guarantees that Forest would make Douglas Luiz’s move permanent beyond June 2026.

Juventus are expected to confirm the financial details behind the deal once Douglas Luiz signs his contract with Forest.

The Brazilian midfielder only spent one season in Turin, failing to score or assist in 27 appearances across all competitions.

He strongly wanted to return to the Premier League, where he collected 10 goals and 10 assists with Aston Villa in 2023-24, before a €50m move to the Allianz Stadium.
