Las Palmas head coach Diego Martínez has confirmed that a member of the club’s attacking ranks picked up an injury during the club’s latest outing.
The player in question? Adnan Januzaj.
Las Palmas were back in action on Tuesday, making the trip to minnows CE Europa for a Copa del Rey clash.
Winger Januzaj, for his part, was introduced to proceedings as a substitute in the clash, for his first competitive appearance since all the way back in October.
The former Manchester United man, however, did not last long, before picking up a fresh fitness problem.
As much was confirmed by boss Diego Martínez post-match, the Spanish tactician having revealed that Januzaj has been struck down by an ankle injury:
“Januzaj has been injured. His ankle is bad and that’s why he went up front in the final minutes. We played almost with one less player.”
Whilst the extent of the issue is yet to be announced, Marca suggest that it is unlikely that Januzaj will take to the pitch again this calendar year.
