Oscar Fraulo is reportedly nearing a move to Championship side Derby County. According to the Algemeen Dagblad, Fraulo’s parent club Borussia Mönchengladbach are set to recall him from loan in order to send him to Pride Park. The 21-year-old has struggled for game time at Utrecht, who also have an option to buy the Denmark youth international.
Oscar Fraulo kick started his career with Danish side Midtjylland, where he rose through the ranks before completing a permanent switch to Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2022. The central midfielder initially joined FC Utrecht on loan during the 2023/24 campaign, featuring 32 times in the Eredivisie. However, this season under Ron Jans, the likes of Zidane Iqbal and Paxten Aaronson have been handed more opportunities.
Gladbach are ready to recall Fraulo from his loan, with no hesitation due to the lack of game time. A move to Derby County seems the most likely option. The club currently sit 20th in the table under head coach Paul Warne.
