A flurry of deals have taken place on Deadline Day, both in and out of Serie A. Amongst the outgoings is Parma midfielder Drissa Camara. Camara, 23, made 21 appearances last season for Parma who finished 16th and avoided relegation by margin of 5 points in the end. Interestingly so, Parma have been the only club in Camara’s career. His contract ended this summer and he has made his way to Gaziantep, in the Turkish Süper Lig.
For Parma it has been a summer of change with Cristhian Chivu leaving to manage Inter and young Carlos Cuesta coming in to take charge at the club. They have also lost players like Ange-Yoan Bonny and Giovanni Leoni.
Gaziantep are currently 8th in the Turkish league. Very interestingly, they are managed by Turkish legend Burak Yilmaz, who took over earlier this year. It is an upwardly mobile club and Camara’s signing proves that they are looking for younger players on value deals.
