Reports in Italy claim that Kevin De Bruyne’s wife has recently taken a trip to Naples to look around the city as Napoli prepare a contract offer for the Manchester City star, who will become a free agent at the end of the 2024-25 campaign.
Reports from various outlets this week claim that Napoli are among the clubs prepared to offer a contract to De Bruyne, who will leave Man City after 10 seasons and six Premier League titles in June.
De Bruyne, who will turn 34 in June, had been linked with a move to Inter Miami of MLS. but it is understood that the Belgium international is still interested in moves within Europe as he feels he still has plenty to offer at the highest level.

Reports from Corriere dello Sport claim that Napoli are prepared to offer a two-year contract to De Bruyne, which would see him through to the age of 36.
The Partenopei hope that fellow Belgium international is one of the other keys to convincing De Bruyne to join on a free transfer at the end of his Manchester City contract.
The fact that Napoli have already confirmed a spot in next season’s Champions League, and the fact that De Bruyne would be a guaranteed starter when fit and available are also key factors.
Friday’s reports also claim that Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna has already flown to Manchester to speak with De Bruyne directly.

In terms of salary, few clubs in Europe will be able to match what De Bruyne earns on his current Manchester City contract, which is around €23m per season according to Corriere dello Sport.
That means that he is likely to have to accept a wage cut if he is to stay in Europe, whether that be with Napoli or another club.
However, there are still a selection of clubs in the Saudi Pro League who would be keen on taking De Bruyne on, and who would be prepared to offer a set of personal terms comparable to those on his current Man City deal.
