Dawda renews until 2027 and will have a first-team contract. | OneFootball

The Girona FC and Dawda Cámara have reached an agreement to extend the contract of the striker from Banyoles until June 2027. Additionally, the academy player will have a first-team registration starting this season.

Since 2014, when he joined after standing out for his goals at Porqueres, Dawda has established himself as one of the most promising talents in the red-and-white academy.

In the recent play-off for promotion to Segunda RFEF with Girona B, he became the main protagonist by scoring five decisive goals – three of them in the final against San Fernando – which propelled the reserve team to the higher category.

An international with Mauritania and with previous experience in the first team – Míchel gave him his debut in 2021 in both the Segunda División and the Copa del Rey – Dawda has demonstrated quality, effort, and scoring ability, along with a strong competitive character.

Girona FC is thus betting on a player with Girona DNA and an exciting future. With this renewal, the Club continues to strengthen its sports project based on a solid youth football structure and the promotion of young talents developed at Montilivi.
