According to a report by L’Équipe, Kylian Mbappé (25) and Paris Saint-Germain have been provided a date for the next stage in their ongoing wage dispute, with the two parties set to meet in front of a joint appeals committee on the 15th of October.
This meeting was agreed after PSG appealed against the decision from the LFP legal committee, which demanded that the club pay their former player €55 million in unpaid wages and bonuses.
The club have strongly contested this decision and point to a publicised verbal agreement they made with the Real Madrid forward that if he were to leave on a free transfer he would give up some of his money to protect the Parisian club. However, none of this was ever placed in writing.
As L’Équipe notes depending on the decision of the joint appeals committee, another appeal could take place which would go before a higher appeals committee which would be under the aegis of the French Football Federation. Beyond the higher appeals committee, the case could move to the civil courts, the administrative courts, or even an industrial tribunal.
