QPR finished comfortably clear of the drop despite spending most of the season in the relegation zone.

The R's will now be looking to push on under manager Marti Cifuentes as they try to build a team capable of competing towards the top half of the Championship table.

Cifuentes has instilled an exciting brand of football at Loftus Road, and fans are now hoping they can aspire to more than safety with the Spaniard at the helm.

It's set to be a big summer for QPR as they try to mould a team in Cifuentes' image. But with finances tight, the club will have to be clever with their money and would benefit from looking at the loan market.

The arrival of Isaac Hayden and, to a lesser degree, Joe Hodge during the January transfer window boosted QPR's midfield and showed that there's value to be had in securing loan deals from the Premier League.

QPR are reportedly hopeful of retaining Hayden on a permanent deal this summer, and his performances may prompt the West London outfit to go back into the Premier League loan market to bolster their squad ahead of next season.

Here we take a look at three Premier League players QPR could look to bring in on loan.

1 Luke Cundle

Wolves midfielder Luke Cundle enjoyed an excellent loan spell at Plymouth Argyle last season.

The 22-year-old notched five goals and six assists for the Pilgrims before being recalled and sent to Stoke City.

Cundle had less joy with Stoke at times being asked to play deeper in the midfield but he still managed four goals and assists in 16 games for the Potters.

With Chris Willock linked with a summer exit, the R's may need to add more creativity and the Wolves man could be a strong addition.

2 James Beadle

Asmir Begovic had his moments between the sticks for QPR but at 36 years old, the R's should be looking for a younger option to replace him.

Brighton's James Beadle was excellent for Sheffield Wednesday after arriving on loan in January, keeping eight clean sheets as the Owls staged a remarkable run to safety.

Beadle faces competition back at Brighton from Carl Rushworth and another loan for the 19-year-old may be deemed best for his development.

The R's would face competition from Wednesday, who are said to be keen to bring the shot-stopper back to Hillsborough.

QPR have reportedly received a lot of interest in centre-back Jake Clarke-Salter over the past few weeks, and a sale is not off the table.

Should Clarke-Salter depart, this would leave QPR with just Steve Cook and Jimmy Dunne in central defence while full-back Morgan Fox is capable of filling in.

QPR would have to go into the market to get a centre-back, and they would be wise to look at Bournemouth's James Hill, who enjoyed a productive loan spell at Blackburn Rovers last season.

Capable of playing centre-back and right-back, Hill is a versatile defender who provides a threat in both boxes.

The 22-year-old was used sparingly by Andoni Iraola upon his return to Bournemouth and a move away seems plausible given the Cherries' ambitions next season.

QPR need to add reinforcements to their aging squad, and in Cundle, Beadle and Hill, they have three players with Championship experience who are capable of becoming key players in Cifuentes' squad.
