Crystal Palace sign Manchester United midfielder Watson on loan | OneFootball

Crystal Palace have completed the signing of Manchester United midfielder Emma Watson on a season-long loan deal.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Red Devils this morning.

The 19-year-old Scot moves to South London in a bid to further her development.

Watson started her career north of the border with Rangers and she found herself in the club’s senior side at just 15 years of age. In summer 2023, Manchester United came calling and the player made the switch to the Leigh Sports Village.

The youngster’s Manchester United career got off to a difficult start due to an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury. Watson made a successful recovery and she got her first minutes for The Red Devils last season.

On the international stage, Watson has been capped by Scotland on 12 occasions while she has scored three goals.

After joining Crystal Palace on loan, Watson said “I’m really looking forward to the season ahead, meeting all the girls and working with Jo [Potter].

“I’m really excited to be here and I’m proud to be a Palace player.”

Watson could make her Crystal Palace debut against Charlton Athletic on the opening day of the season.
