Confirmation of the extent of the ban facing Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé for his recent sending off has on Tuesday been forthcoming online.
And the news will no doubt be met with a collective sigh of relief on the part of all of a Blancos persuasion.
Frontman Mbappé of course took his place front and centre in the headlines across all of Europe this past weekend.
Unfortunately for the 26-year-old, however, this came for less than positive reasons.
Mbappé was, as expected, afforded a starting berth on Sunday, as Real Madrid made the trip to Mendizorroza for a La Liga meeting with Deportivo Alavés.
En route to an eventual 1-0 Blancos triumph, however, the Frenchman lasted less than 40 minutes, before being given his marching orders.
This came owing to a dangerous, studs-up challenge on Alavés star Antonio Blanco.
Owing to the serious nature of the offence, calls had, in turn, since spread for Mbappé to be slapped with a lengthy ban by the Spanish football authorities.
This, however, will not prove to be the case.
As per journalist Fabrizio Romano, citing Spanish football insider Arancha Rodríguez:
‘Kylian Mbappé, suspended for 1 La Liga game after red card vs Alavés. He’s gonna be available for El Clásico vs Barca (in the Copa del Rey final).
