Miami, FL — Concacaf has announced the match schedule for the Group Stage of the 2025 Concacaf Central American Cup. The third edition of the regional cup competition, which serves as a qualifier for the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup and crowns Central America’s club champion, will be played from July to December 2025.

The 2025 Central American Cup Group Stage draw took place on June 3. During the live made-for-TV event in Miami, FL, the 20 clubs participating in the competition were split into four groups of five and will play as follows:

Group A:  LD Alajuelense (CRC), Antigua GFC (GUA), CD Plaza Amador (PAN), Alianza FC (SLV), Managua FC (NCA)

Group B:  CS Herediano (CRC), CSD Municipal (GUA), Real CD España (HON), Sporting San Miguelito (PAN), Diriangén FC (NCA)

Group C:  Deportivo Saprissa (CRC), FC Motagua (HON), CS Cartaginés (CRC), CA Independiente (PAN), Verdes FC (BLZ)

Group D:  CD Olimpia (HON), Club Xelajú M.C (GUA), Real Estelí FC (NCA), CD Águila (SLV), CD Hércules (SLV)

COMPETITION FORMAT The tournament will kick off with a Group Stage. In this first round, clubs will play every club in their group once, for a total of four matches per club (two at home and two away) in the five scheduled weeks.

Group Stage Week 1: July 29–31, 2025  Group Stage Week 2: August 5–7, 2025  Group Stage Week 3: August 12–14, 2025  Group Stage Week 4: August 19–21, 2025  Group Stage Week 5: August 26–28, 2025

After the Group Stage, each group's first and second-place finishers will advance to the Knockout Stage. The Knockout Stage will include home-and-away matches, starting with the Quarterfinals, followed by the Semifinals and Play-In, and the Final, where the champion of Central America will be crowned.

Quarterfinals: September 23–25 and September 30 – October 2, 2025  Semifinals & Play-In: October 21–23 and October 28–30, 2025  Final: November 25–27 and December 2–4, 2025

The Quarterfinal matchups will be determined based on the Group Stage results and the competition’s standings (the highest-ranked group winner will play the lowest-ranked runner-up).

The matchups for the Semifinals and Play-In will be determined based on the competition’s bracket. The highest-ranked club (based on the competition’s standings) will host the return leg matches for all series.

After the competition, six clubs, including the four semifinalists and two play-in winners, will qualify for the 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup. The champion will also receive a bye to the Champions Cup Round 16.
