It's no exaggeration to say that Group F is arguably the hardest to call at this summer's tournament. Borussia Dortmund are coming off the back of an average domestic campaign while Fluminense finished 13th last time out. Ulsan meanwhile are reigning South Korean champions and will fancy their chances of springing a surprise here.

What’s the key game?

June 25th is the date for your diaries as Cincinnati plays host to Borussia Dortmund vs Ulsan. It's the final game of the group stage and could well decide who goes into the last 16 and who heads home at the first hurdle.

Can you give me a player to watch for each team?

Serhou Guirassy (Borussia Dortmund)

Serhou Guirassy has been a revelation for Borussia Dortmund since his arrival in July 2024. The Guinean striker etched his name into the club's history books by netting 13 goals in 14 Champions League matches this season, matching the club's single-season European scoring record jointly-held by Robert Lewandowski and Erling Haaland. His clinical finishing and physical presence have been pivotal for the club this season.

Germán Cano (Fluminense)

The 37-year-old Argentine striker has experienced a remarkable resurgence, netting 10 goals in his first 11 matches of the year and surpassing the 100-goal mark for the club. Having suffered a knee injury in March though, it will be touch and go as to whether he will be fit for their first game against Borussia Dortmund.

Gustav Ludwigson (Ulsan)

Swedish winger Gustav Ludwigson has been instrumental for Ulsan during his two years with the club. In 2024 the veteran bagged seven goals and five assists in 22 league appearances, demonstrating his ability to influence games from the flanks. With several key players departing, Ludwigson's experience and consistency have been vital in guiding younger teammates and maintaining Ulsan's competitive edge in the K League.

Lucas Ribeiro (Mamelodi Sundowns)

Brazilian forward Lucas Ribeiro has become a cornerstone of Mamelodi Sundowns' attack since his arrival in 2023. Leading the South African Premier League's Golden Boot race with 16 goals, his contributions have been crucial in the team's domestic and continental campaigns. Ribeiro's ability to link play and finish chances has made him a constant threat and should be amongst the goals this summer too.

And the big storyline?

In a wide open group, who can put their head above the parapet and come out on top? Borussia Dortmund may come into the tournament with a lofty reputation but don't be surprised if there's a few surprises along the way here. Ulsan and Fluminense will fancy their chances of finishing top, and could South African side Mamelodi Sundowns bring a giant down a peg or two?
