Just days before their Round of 16 clash in the Club World Cup in the United States, Real Madrid has received some excellent news. The Spanish club welcomes back a key player.
Real Madrid is gearing up for their FIFA Club World Cup Round of 16 showdown against Juventus in Miami. The high-stakes encounter is set for July 1. Under Xabi Alonso’s leadership, the team topped Group H with two wins and a draw from their first three matches, maintaining a largely unchanged starting eleven—even as Kylian Mbappé continues to struggle to find his rhythm on the pitch.
The French international missed all three group stage matches due to illness. Alonso is expected to make a late decision on Mbappé’s involvement, but he also has a new asset in his squad, with Endrick Felipe joining the team in Miami. Despite the Brazilian youngster being sidelined in Madrid with a muscle injury, Alonso named him in his initial squad list.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the Brazilian prodigy has now completed a month-long rehabilitation and Alonso has given the green light for him to join the squad in Florida. As Endrick Felipe was registered before FIFA’s June 10 squad deadline, he is eligible for the tournament, although it’s unlikely he’ll be risked right away.
