Club Brugge decide against selling Joël Ordoñez to Marseille | OneFootball

Club Brugge have decided they do not want to sell Joël Ordoñez (21) despite Marseille matching their asking price for the defender, according to a report from Sacha Tavolieri. Les Phocéens have submitted a bid worth €25m plus an additional €5m in add-ons for the Ecuadorian international centre-back’s services.

The Jupiler Pro League club had set a €30m asking price for the 21-year-old. However, despite this being met with OM’s latest offer, they have decided they do not want to sell. This offer was submitted on Thursday. The change of heart is said to be down to a miscommunication between the club’s owner and the senior management.

Ordoñez left furious

Wanting to move to Les Olympiens, the Ecuadorian defender is furious with the club’s decision. He missed training today and has informed the club that he wishes to join Marseille. An emergency meeting is scheduled for this Saturday between the centre-back and the club’s management to try and resolve the situation.
