City to face AFC Fylde or Leeds in FA Youth Cup fifth round

After City’s Under-18s 5-1 win over Millwall in the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup, we will face AFC Fylde or Leeds United in the next stage of the prestigious competition.

And our fifth-round tie will see us travel to either outfit, with our opponent to be confirmed on Friday 17 January.

Oliver Reiss’s side have been enjoying our run in the FA Youth Cup so far.

Looking to retain the title for the first time in the Club’s history, our 2024/25 campaign has started strong.

A 1-0 win over Crystal Palace, courtesy of a late Dan Batty strike, saw us advance to the latest stage.

And on Thursday evening the Joie Stadium played host to a thrilling 5-1 triumph over Millwall.

After a tense first half which saw City only just edge out in front with goals from Stephen Mfuni and Harrison Miles bettering Abdulahi Abdulazeez's penalty, Reiss's side dominated the second half.

Goals from Ryan McAidoo, Matty Warhurst and Divine Mukasa saw City run away with the victory.
