In a highly intense match, Chivas Femenil managed to fight back and earned a point in Week 5 of the 2025 Apertura, drawing 1-1 with Cruz Azul this afternoon at AKRON Stadium. The Rebaño reached 10 points and remains in the fight for the top spots in the overall standings.

It was not an easy task for the Rojiblancas, who found themselves behind on the scoreboard just one minute into the game. As the clock ticked down, Guadalajara settled into the game and tipped the balance in their favor, but they lacked punch. Coach Antonio Contreras' substitutions added offensive power to the Guadalajara team, and it was enough to break the deadlock with a goal from Alicia Cervantes. The Rebaño could have even taken all three points, but a saving stop by Alejandría Godínez prevented the home team from winning.
