Guadalajara made a good start at the zero hour mark. Chivas knew the importance of getting a good result tonight and with sparks of good soccer, but above all, with a lot of drive and determination, overcame the Xolos 2-1 this Sunday night at the Akron Stadium, in a match on matchday 6 of the Clausura 2025 Tournament. With this result, the Guadalajara-based team recovered some ground in the general table by moving up to tenth place with 8 points, just 2 points away from the direct Playoff zone.

El Rebaño will now have to change their mindset again, as this Wednesday they will host Cibao FC for the outcome of the Concacaf Champions Cup 2025 First Round series, after the 1-1 draw in the first leg last Thursday in the Dominican Republic.

The goals- PuliGoooool!!!! El Rebaño moved the score to 27', after Erick Gutiérrez put in a pass between the lines that Luis Romo controlled inside the area and upon reaching the back line, he put in a delayed diagonal that Alan Pulido controlled and in 2 times sent ¡Pa'la Jaula!- Chivas extended their lead at 30', when Mateo Chávez made a powerful shot from three-quarters of the field into the heart of the box, where Roberto Alvarado appeared to connect the ball as it came and send it into the back of the net.

- The visitors scored in the added time of the first half through Raúl Zúñiga, who appeared at the far post from a corner kick to close the scoring.

Dangerous chances- At 2', Chivas' high pressure had an effect, as 'Chuy' Corona misplaced a pass at the start, leaving the ball at the feet of Luis Romo, who shot at goal without thinking twice, but just wide.- At 17', the Rebaño repeated the formula, as pressure in the final third caused the Canine defense to give the ball again to Romo, who now smashed his shot against the crossbar.- At 42', the third goal of the night arrived, when Pulido played a pass into space to 'Piojo', then controlled the ball inside the box and coolly scored in front of Corona, but the goal was disallowed for offside.- At 71', the Guadalajara team came within a whisker of extending the lead when Yael Padilla broke free, but Cade Cowell's shot was deflected by a defender and the ball went just over the goal.- At 78', Yael shook off the marking of two defenders and connected with Cade, who first crossed to 'Guti', who controlled the ball inside the area and then shot, but the goalkeeper made a save.- At 82', Cowell tried his luck from the halfway line, but the ball went just wide.
