WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Blues this morning.
Reiten was due to be out of contract at Kingsmeadow this summer but the club have now extended her deal by a further year.
The 30-year-old joined Chelsea from Norwegian club LSK Kvinner in summer 2019 and she has gone on to establish herself as a firm favourite with the fans. Reiten has made 177 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions while she recently hit the 50-goal milestone. In her five-and-a-half years in South West London, Reiten has won 11 domestic trophies including five consecutive Barclays Women’s Super League titles. She was also a UEFA Women’s Champions League finalist with the club in 2020/2021.
Reiten remains a key member of the Chelsea squad. She is a player that leads by example and is a great role model for the younger players. The club have therefore acted quickly to retain her services until at least summer 2026.
Chelsea return to action following the Christmas break when they face Charlton Athletic in an Adobe Women’s FA Cup fourth round tie at Kingsmeadow on Sunday afternoon.
