Chelsea sources have denied that they made a late attempt to hijack one of Manchester United’s new signings this window.
There is plenty going on at Chelsea right now and they are clearly trying to sign new attackers before the summer transfer window closes in just six weeks time now. But one of those new attackers was not one of United’s new signings apparently. More on that further below.
There are a couple other Chelsea transfer stories brewing up right now and striker Nicolas Jackson could soon be on his way out of Stamford Bridge with a number of clubs showing interest. Fabrizio Romano had the latest on Manchester United’s interest in Jackson, with a potential swap deal on the cards.
And then there is an exciting story brewing as Chelsea attempt to strike a deal to sign Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig this window with the player apparently being keen on making the move.

It was reported by The Daily Mail that Chelsea made an attempt to hijack Manchester United’s done deal to sign Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford this summer.
But a report from The Telegraph has denied that and said Chelsea sources are telling them that no offer was made for the winger.
Sounds like United briefing some nonsense to make it sound like they beat Chelsea to a transfer target or something daft like that to me!
It looks like it’s going to be a very busy end to the window for many clubs, and Chelsea are going to be very much involved in all of this.
We expect to see another new attacker, plenty of outgoings, and moves made at the back as well with a centre back and possibly even a goalkeeper still that could happen.
