Chelsea have “offered a significant salary” for Italy star Riccardo Calafiori

Chelsea have reportedly offered a good salary to Italy’s star defender Riccardo Calafiori, according to a report this afternoon.

Chelsea have continued to be linked with the centre back who can also play as a left back, after he had a very impressive Euros campaign for Italy. They unfortunately got knocked out of the competition earlier this week and had to go home early, but that could now work well for any club trying to sign him this summer transfer window, and apparently Chelsea are one of them.

EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea now keen on signing versatile Bayern Munich attacker this summer! 👀

It’s expected to be the next big transfer saga, with many clubs named as being interested in signing him, and it also looks like his club Bologna are going to be open to selling him this window and seem to be encouraging offers (as seen in the post below).

Chelsea offer salary to Calafiori

According to Italian reporter Alfredo Pedulla, Chelsea have already offered a significant salary for Riccardo Calafiori.

If Chelsea could pull this one off it would be a tremendous signing. But to me it seems like it might be close to impossible due to the amount of clubs who will be moving for him too. There is both Liverpool and Arsenal mentioned already, and I am sure other clubs will come in too. Add to the fact that his club seem to be looking for a bidding war for him, and that means inflated fees all around as this one becomes even more high profile.

That’s what having a good Euros does for your name, but it doesn’t help clubs who want to quietly go about trying to sign said player. I’m sure if Chelsea really wanted to do it then they could push, but I feel they have other priorities at the moment. Lets see what happens I guess.
