He would likely compete with Al-Nassr’s Nawaf Boushal for a starting berth in the Saudi Pro League.

Cucurella turned the tide after a poor season and a half at Stamford Bridge to become one of the most crucial players in the team.

Chelsea will not be interested in parting ways with the Spaniard, even though they are close to signing Jorrel Hato.

The young Dutch ace will provide competition for Cucurella, who played far too many games for the Blues last term.

Chelsea are rightly reluctant to let Cucurella go, even if the Saudi side may be willing to break the bank this summer.

Meanwhile, journalist Matt Law has revealed that Chelsea are not interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma this summer.

Donnarumma is entering the final year of his PSG contract amid reports he is angling for a move away. He is not keen on signing a new deal with the Parisian giants.

The Blues claim they are satisfied with Robert Sanchez after his heroics in the Club World Cup, but it will be difficult to overlook months of mistakes and atrocious kicking.
