Chelsea contact Leicester over deal for midfield star | OneFootball

Chelsea have contacted Leicester City to explore the possibility of signing Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

That is according to the Athletic’s ultra-reliable David Ornstein, who says that while no official offer has been made yet for the midfielder, Stamford Bridge is the only destination he is keen to leave his boyhood club for.

Dewsbury-Hall is seen as the ideal fit for the style of football the Blues want to play under new boss Enzo Maresca, who replaced Mauricio Pochettino at the end of the season.

The pair worked together at the Foxes last season as they secured promotion to the Premier League as winners of the Championship, with the 25-year-old academy graduate scoring 12 goals and being a key man throughout.

Brighton had attempted a move for Dewsbury-Hall last January but it did not come to fruition, and it now appears that Chelsea are in pole position if a deal can be agreed.

The West London club have already agreed a deal in principle to sign Barcelona youngster Marc Guiu, while they are also closing in on a move for Boca Juniors defender Aaron Anselmino.
