Chelsea are unlikely to sign Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike this summer according to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg.
The Blues have already made three attacking signings with Liam Delap, Jamie Gittens and Joao Pedro all arriving this summer.
Chelsea haven’t ruled out signing another attacker, whilst they are also thought to be in the market for a defender to help strengthen Enzo Maresca’s squad.
With Noni Madueke having left for Arsenal, it remains to be seen if the Blues will sign a replacement for the England international.
They had been linked with West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus, who’s now joined Tottenham, whilst links with Ekitike have quietened down.
Frankfurt have maintained they want €100m for Ekitike, a price Chelsea aren’t prepared to pay, whilst Liverpool and Manchester United are also said to be interested.

Chelsea were thought to value Ekitike at around £67m, and Plettenberg has now provided an update on the situation.
He took to X.com and said:
“Eintracht Frankfurt would like to keep Hugo #Ekitike, also to be well prepared for the Champions League.
“However, Eintracht are expecting offers this month. Liverpool remain a concrete option. Newcastle have renewed their interest. Manchester United still there.
“Chelsea are currently unlikely due to the transfer of João Pedro. His price tag is €100m.

Ekitike scored 22 goals and registered 12 assists in 48 appearances in all competitions last season, but it remains to be seen if he will be in the Premier League next season.
With Madueke gone, and Christopher Nkunku and Joao Felix also set to leave, speculation has increased about Nicolas Jackson’s future.
Jackson is arguably behind Delap and Pedro in the pecking order currently and faces genuine competition for the first time in his Chelsea career.
The Senegal international has been linked with AC Milan, whilst there’s also said to be interest from the Premier League, and it’s certainly a situation to watch over the coming weeks.
