Chelsea have today announced that one of the new faces who has travelled from the UK to Greece yesterday to be part of the squad to face Panathinaikos tonight in the Conference League, has signed a new contract with the club.

The Blues are getting set to play against the Greek Pro League side this evening in the Europa League Conference.

BIG EXCLUSIVE!! Chelsea exploring ambitious move to sign Manchester City centre back as well as watching TWO Benfica defenders!!

There was some key players left out of the travelling squad for tonight, namely right backs. So it looks like Axel Disasi will be filling in there again.

However, in the absence of some key players in the squad, it has given a chance for some academy player involvement, with a few of them in the squad for tonight.

Most people know about Tyrique George, but there are a couple other names in there as well that Blues fans might not know quite so well.

One of them is Shimaira Mheuka

The striker is in the squad for tonight and as well as that, has just signed his first professional contract at the club.

Chelsea have confirmed today that Mheuka has put pen to paper on his first professional Chelsea contract.

Mheuka became a full-time scholar in the summer and has now signed professional terms following his 17th birthday on Sunday.

He featured regularly for our Under-18s as a schoolboy during the 2023/24 season, scoring 12 goals in 20 appearances, including the Premier League national final at Stamford Bridge.

He has also already represented England at youth level up to U17s so far and has a super bright future ahead of him.

IT would be great to see him get some game time later tonight, although I’m not sure whether there is much chance of that happening right now with other options such as Marc Guiu ahead of him.
