Charlton Athletic forward Karin Muya has signed a new one-year contract with the club.

The Addicks announced the news via a post on their official club website this afternoon.

Muya joined Charlton Athletic last summer after leaving former club London City Lionesses. The player went on to make 12 appearances for the South East Londoners in the Barclays Women’s Championship in which she scored one goal.

It is fair to say that there is much more to come from Muya in her Charlton Athletic career and she will be hoping to shine for the club in 2024/2025.

After signing on again with The Addicks, Muya said “It feels great and a sigh of relief. I feel excited to get going with pre-season and to start working. Last season, we were so close, so this season it feels like we can learn some lessons and push on that step further.

“Having The Valley as our home stadium will be great for us, the playing surface is next to nothing. It will definitely be good for us and our style of football.

“Every season, the Championship continues to get more and more competitive, especially with the two new teams coming up. The strength and pace of games will only get better.”

Muya follows teammate Carla Humphrey in extending her deal at The Valley this summer.
