Here’s all of the highlights and action from Tuesday night’s Champions League matches, with Real Madrid, Arsenal, Aston Villa and AC Milan picked up wins.

Champions League highlights:

Vinicius Jr treble inspires Real Madrid comeback

Borussia Dortmund stunned a lacklustre Real Madrid in the first half as they took a two-goal lead at the Bernabeu. Donyell Malen blasted the ball past Thibaut Courtois on the half-hour mark and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens doubled their lead minutes later. The 20-year-old became the youngest Englishman to score against the Spanish giants.

Real almost hit back immediately, but Rodrygo and Jude Bellingham were denied by the woodwork twice in quick succession.

The hosts did manage to score on the hour mark thanks to a thunderous header from Antonio Rudiger. They equalised just moments later through Vinicius Jr to leave Dortmund shellshocked.

It felt like it was only a matter of time before the reigning champions would go ahead, which they did through Lucas Vazquez. All three points were secured minutes later as Vinicius smashed the ball home for his second of the night after sprinting half the length of the field.

The Brazilian wasn’t finished though, grabbing his hat-trick in stoppage time to show Kylian Mbappe how it’s done.

Duran strikes again

Aston Villa‘s dream start to the Champions League continued as they beat Bologna at home. John McGinn opened the scoring from a free kick, before Jhon Duran found the net on just his second start of the season.

The Colombian really is inevitable; he’s now on seven goals in 12 appearances this term.

Villa sit atop of the league table on nine points with no goals conceded and look well on their way to the last-16 of the competition.

Pulisic ‘Olimpico’ helps Milan to first win

Christian Pulisic scored straight from a corner to put AC Milan ahead against ten-man Club Brugge at the San Siro.

Despite having a man sent off before the break, it was the Belgian outfit who scored next, with halftime substitute Kyriani Sabbe equalising in the 51st minute.

Tijjani Reijnders scored twice in the space of ten minutes to repel a Brugge comeback and ensure Milan picked up their first win of the league phase.

Late joy for Stuttgart

It almost seemed like it wasn’t going to be Stuttgart’s night at Juventus. Brighton loanee Deniz Undav had a goal ruled out for a harsh handball call in the first half. The Enzo Millot missed a penalty with just five minutes of normal time remaining.

But the German side’s impressive performance got the goal it deserved when El Bilal Toure found a way through the defence to net the winner. Outstanding.

Arsenal back to winning ways

Arsenal laboured to a narrow victory over Shakhtar Donetsk thanks to an own goal from Dmytro Riznyk. Gabriel Martinelli’s shot came back out off the post and bounced into the goal off the back of unfortunate goalkeeper’s leg.

The Gunners saw out the win despite Leandro Trossard missing a penalty in the second half as they bounced back from defeat to Bournemouth at the weekend, but the performance was not convincing.

Sporting star scores again

Victor Gyokeres continued his fine form this season with a brilliant goal during Sporting CP’s win over Sturm Graz. The Swede is now on 13 goals and two assists for the season.

PSG held by PSV

Paris Saint-Germain dominated the opening exchanges of their encounter with Eindhoven, and Ousmane Dembele even missed a gilt-edged chance to take the lead. The winger was dumbfounded as to how he didn’t score, hitting the crossbar from just six yards out.

But it was the Dutch side who took the lead through Noa Lang. As was the case against Arsenal three weeks ago, the French side were robbed in possession while trying to play out from the back and were swiftly punished.

Paris hit back in the second half when Achraf Hakimi whizzed a shot through the legs of goalkeeper Walter Benitez.

Monaco romp to five-star victory

Monaco stomped all over Red Star Belgrade to maintain their unbeaten start to the Champions League. Breel Embolo scored one of the best goals of the night, improvising well before finishing sweetly.

Former Liverpool attacker Takumi Minamino grabbed a brace, while defender Wilfried Singo and winger Maghnes Akliouche also scored to win 5-1.

Girona get off the mark

Goals from Miguel Gutierrez and Juanpe secured a comfortable for Girona over Slovan Bratislava as the Spanish outfit picked up their first three points in the Champions League this season.
