Champions League club Ajax are keen on Liverpool shot-stopper Vitezslav Jaros as a short-term option and hope to agree a deal with the Reds soon.

The Premier League champions now have quality options to choose from when it comes to goalkeepers.

Alisson is going nowhere, it looks like, and Georgian superstar Giorgi Mamardashvili is also ready to fight for his place with the Brazilian.

Very recently, they secured highly-rated Hungarian custodian Armin Pecsi from Puskas Akademia on a four-year deal.

Jaros is an academy graduate of Liverpool and has been sent out on loan multiple times away from Anfield.

Now, with so much competition at the Reds, he could head out of the club this summer, as Ajax are showing interest in him.

According to Dutch magazine Voetbal International, the Amsterdam outfit are aiming to finalise a deal to secure Jaros on loan.

Former Liverpool assistant John Heitinga is the new Ajax boss and he sees the Czech Republic international as a short-term solution for his new club.

The 23-year-old custodian featured in only two games last season for Liverpool and could benefit from a move away.

If he is able to secure a move to Ajax and become their first-choice number 1 in the upcoming season, he could attract clubs by showing his capabilities at a club of Ajax’s size.

All eyes will be on Liverpool and Ajax now to see if Jaros will be able to complete a loan move to the Eredivisie giants in the upcoming weeks.
