Fabio Capello believes Feyenoord will be easier for Inter to face than PSV as the Nerazzurri prepare to learn their next Champions League opponent.

Following the eliminations of Juventus, Milan, Atalanta, and Bologna, the Nerazzurri remain the only Serie A club involved in the Champions League.

Simone Inzaghi’s men finished the league phase in the top eight, getting direct access to the Round of 16.

They will meet PSV or Feyenoord in the next round. The two Dutch sides eliminated Juventus and Milan, respectively, in the knockout playoff. Inter will learn their opponents during the Champions League draw on Friday.

So, which would be the easier team to face for Inter?

“The Eredivisie standings tell us that Feyenoord are behind PSV, and I don’t think that’s a coincidence,” Capello told Gazzetta.

“Based on what we saw in the two matches between PSV and Juve, I believe Bosz’s team has more solutions and quality than their Rotterdam counterparts.

“Feyenoord also have many absences, and I’m unsure how many players will return for the next Champions League round.”

During the same interview, Capello analysed the Juventus exit at the hands of PSV, saying that the Old Lady struggled to keep up with their opponents’ pace and that Thiago Motta made substitutions too late.

Juventus’ minimum target in Serie A this season is to qualify for the Champions League, and the Bianconeri currently sit 4th in the table, level on points with Lazio.
