SV Werder Bremen won 2-1 at VfB Stuttgart on Sunday, 13th April, courtesy of a brace from Oliver Burke. Stuttgart had initially taken the lead in the first half through Leonidas Stergiou (19'), before the Scotsman scored the equaliser (32'). Following a second yellow for former Green-White Nick Woltemade (65'), Ole Werner's side found themselves a man up for the remaining 25 minutes. In the end, Burke's second of the match secured all three points for the visitors (90'+1), who have now won each of their last three on their travels.
Line-up and formation: Head coach Ole Werner named an unchanged starting line-up for the third game in a row, following back-to-back victories against Holstein Kiel (3-0) and Eintracht Frankfurt (2-0). Milos Veljkovic was the only player left out of the squad as he continues to work his way back from a calf issue. Anthony Jung and Romano Schmid were both able to travel to Stuttgart, after having managed their workloads this past week.
Starting line-up: Zetterer - Stark, Pieper, Stage, Ducksch, Weiser, Lynen, Burke, Schmid, Agu, Friedl.
Subs: Backhaus - Jung, Silva, Bittencourt, Njinmah, Grüll, Köhn, Malatini, Topp.

11th minute: Werder go close from their first corner of the afternoon. Schmid's delivery finds Lynen, but his attempt is also saved by Nübel.
13th minute: Former Green-White Woltemade finds himself with space inside the box, but Pieper is able to deflect his shot wide of the target.
19th minute: Stergiou gives Stuttgart the lead. Zetterer comes out of his box to cut off a long ball over the defence, but is beaten to it by Stergiou, who remains on his feet and places the ball into the back of the empty net.
23rd minute: Stiller picks out Demirovic with a pass, as the striker is able to get off a shot. Zetterer is equal to it, parrying it away from danger.
