Newcastle United returned to winning ways in the Premier League with a 1-0 victory on the road against West Ham.

Bruno Guimaraes was voted fans' Player of the Match with 43% of the vote. The Magpies skipper produced a complete performance in a dominant midfield including seven possession wins and 26 passes in the final third. The Brazilian international capped a talismanic performance when he poked the ball into the West Ham goal to give United the lead in the 63rd minute. Harvey Barnes (11%) produced a beautifully weighted cross for Guimaraes' goal. Sandro Tonali (42%) won nine out of ten duals and completed three successful dribbles alongside Joelinton (9%) whose 89% pass success and three tackles were vital as United's midfield stamped their authority on the match.
