Brighton & Hove Albion host Nottingham Forest in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup this weekend.
Fabian Hurzeler’s side are dreaming of a maiden major trophy and are one step from a Wembley semi-final. The Seagulls are one of four teams in the quarter-finals to have never won the FA Cup.
It’s been an impressive run for Brighton, who have eliminated both Chelsea and Newcastle United to reach this stage. Brighton are also impressing in the Premier League with six wins from their last nine games to climb into the European places.
Their opposition have been the surprise package of the Premier League campaign. Having been among the pre-season favourites for relegation, Forest are third and chasing a place in the Champions League – alongside FA Cup success. Forest thrashed Brighton 7-0 in the Premier League on February 1st.
Fabian Hurzeler has a lengthy list of absentees at the Amex Stadium, with Tariq Lamptey the latest to join a packed treatment room. An ankle issue sidelines Lamptey, who joins Ferdi Kadioglu, James Milner, Igor Julio and Jason Steele as confirmed absentees.
There’s better news on Solly March and Matt O’Riley, who should be available. Lewis Dunk and Joel Veltman are also in contention.
Brighton predicted XI: Verbruggen; Hinshelwood, Webster, Van Hecke, Estupinan; Baleba, Gomez; Minteh, Rutter, Mitoma; Pedro.
Brighton host Nottingham Forest in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup on Saturday March 29th. Kick-off at the Amex Stadium is 17:15 GMT.
In the UK, the game will be televised live on BBC One.
