No stadium has seen more Premier League goals this season than the Gtech Community Stadium, with 57 scored across 15 matches (3.8 per game).
Only Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah (both 11) have scored more Premier League home goals this season than Yoane Wissa (10).
Brighton are in danger of losing momentum heading into the final weeks of this season. A two-game winless run (first picking up a hard-fought point at Manchester City before Aston Villa humbled them at home) negates an impressive four-match winning streak that saw them catapulted into the European competition mix. The Seagulls are still within touching distance of qualifying for next season’s Europa League group phase, with only four points separating them in eighth and Manchester United in fifth place; though finishing in that position could be good enough for a place in the Champions League.
With the season drawing to a close, Brentford are looking to make it another top-ten finish. Since making their Premier League debut in 2021/22, they have only ended a campaign above 11th place once, in 2022/23, when Thomas Frank guided the Bees to ninth. Heading into the final eight gameweeks, Brentford find themselves in 11th after winning 12 games while losing 13, but are only three points from the top half. The West Londoners, however, have been in mixed form, having won just one of their previous four league outings as of this writing. It is even more miserable at home, with Brentford currently on a seven-game winless run at the Gtech Community Stadium (five losses and two draws).
Fábio Carvalho, who is dealing with a shoulder injury, will not be available for Brentford until next season. Joshua Dasilva and Igor Thiago are both ruled out with respective injuries. However, there are no return dates for Aaron Hickey and Gustavo Nunes, with both currently being assessed.
Igor Julio is a long-term absentee for Brighton who should welcome him back next season. Georginio Rutter and Adam Webster should return before this campaign ends but Ferdi Kadioglu is ruled out while Joel Veltman could once again be avaliable.
