Real Madrid forward Brahim Diaz, who clinched the Most Valuable Player award against Granada following his spectacular display of scoring two goals in a commanding 4-0 victory for his team, expressed heartfelt sentiments about the camaraderie within the team.

He emphasized that the atmosphere in the locker room resonates with a familial bond, where each member is regarded as akin to a brother by him, fostering a sense of unity and support among teammates.

“We are all important. We are no longer friends, we are family, they are my brothers. We are an incredible group,” said the forward as quoted by MARCA.

“We make everything very easy. Today I wanted to thank Modric, who came off and everyone was applauding him, for his assistance because he is a phenomenon and a teacher.”

A goal dedicated to Vinicius

After yesterday’s brace, Brahim has taken his tally to 12 goals and six assists and despite only being a backup player for Ancelotti, this happens to be the best return of his professional football career.

Speaking about his first goal, he revealed why he dedicated the strike to Vinicius Jr, who watched his teammate from the bench.

“I dedicated the goal to Vini. He told me that he was going to score a goal like the first. He told me that when I got the ball, they would open up and cut back. I scored and I dedicate it to him.

“The second goal was a play by everyone. The team has been incredible and we all want to score as many points as possible in the League.

“We also want to reach the Champions League final in the best possible way,” he confessed.

The former Milan forward went on to add that Real Madrid have the best fans in the world.

“We have the best fans, I’m sure we’re going to live a full week tomorrow, just thinking about it gives me goosebumps. Now we’re going to celebrate Real Madrid to the highest level.”

Lastly, he also had words reserved for Granada, a team that has now been relegated to the second division. He added that by no means did Real Madrid perceive this match as an easy outing.

“I say to the Granada team that I hope they will return to the Primera Division soon. We played the match with the utmost respect.

“After the highest level this week, it was not an easy match. I came with adrenaline and we competed in the best way,” he added.
