Liverpool will welcome Arsenal at Anfield this Sunday afternoon as they look to secure a victory at home in the Premier League. The Reds managed to secure a hard-fought 3-2 win over Newcastle United recently, which should keep them in good spirits ahead of this game.

Arne Slot will set his players up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and is expected to make one tweak to his first XI for this game. Conor Bradley will get a chance to impress from the start of this contest, while Curtis Jones makes way for him and drops to the bench.

Defence

Alisson Becker will operate in goal for the Reds after conceding two goals in his last league appearance. Ibrahima Konate will play alongside Virgil Van Dijk at the centre of Slot’s defence as they look to keep the Arsenal attackers at bay throughout the game.

Conor Bradley will get a chance to make an impact as the right-back, while Milos Kerkez looks to put in a much-improved display at left-back after making a tough start to his Liverpool career.

Joe Gomez will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.

Midfield

Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch will anchor the midfield for the Merseyside club as they focus on making life tough for the opposition at the centre of the park.

The talented trio of Cody Gakpo, Florian Wirtz and Mohamed Salah will function just ahead of them as part of the Liverpool attack. All three of them need to be at the top of their game if they are to create enough chances for the Reds to win this contest.

Harvey Elliott, Curtis Jones and Wataru Endo will be named on the bench as they wait for their opportunity to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if needed.

Attack

Hugo Ekitike will spearhead Liverpool’s attack in the final third. The French talent has already got two league goals to his game, so his confidence will be sky high ahead of this game.

Federico Chiesa will make up the numbers on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the final quarter if required.
