Although Sebastien Haller remains at the club, Borussia Dortmund remain in the market for a back-up to Serhou Guirassy. Back in May, BVB identified Wolves forward Fábio Silva as an ideal candidate and now there’s been significant development in their pursuit of the 23-year-old.
Sacha Tavolieri reports that Borussia Dortmund have offered Silva a five-year contract with a meeting expected to take place between the player’s entourage and Wolves later this week as they look to push for a move to the Bundesliga club.
Silva has already been subject to interest from the Bundesliga after rejecting a move to Wolfsburg, as he wants to play in a European competition after spending last season on loan at Las Palmas, where he scored 10 goals and provided three assists in 24 La Liga games.
With seemingly no future at Wolves, the Portuguese attacker is expected to leave Wolves this summer following spells in the Netherlands, Belgium, Scotland, and, most recently, Spain.
