Liverpool could be without their Champions League hero, Conor Bradley, against Manchester City.
The Reds defender produced a terrific performance against Real Madrid in midweek, and the media praised him highly.
It was a near-perfect performance from the Liverpool right-back, and Rangers forward Ross McCausland hailed him as “unbelievable”.
His crunching tackle on Kylian Mbappe, when the pair were in a one-versus-one duel, was one of the highlighting features of the match as Liverpool overcame their hoodoo against Real Madrid to go top of the table with five wins in a row.
The 21-year-old also picked up an injury during the game, and the Reds are now sweating over his fitness.
According to a report from The Daily Mail, the injury could now rule him out of a crunch period of the season.
He felt discomfort in his hamstring, and there are fears that he could be ruled out for around four weeks. However, further scans will take place to judge the full extent of the injury.
Liverpool centre-back Ibrahima Konate also picked up an injury during the game, but there are suggestions that the Frenchman has avoided any serious damage.
It looks likely that he will definitely miss the Premier League clash against City on Sunday at Anfield.
Luckily for Liverpool, they will welcome back Trent Alexander-Arnold. Arne Slot confirmed on Thursday in his pre-match presser that Alexander-Arnold is ready to start after an injury lay-off, and it comes as a big relief for the club.
Alexander-Arnold picked up an injury during the 2-0 win over Aston Villa, and he hasn’t played since.
Joe Gomez remains another good option for Liverpool. The senior versatile Reds defender has barely played this season, but there is an opportunity for him to come into the side and impress his manager.
