Sky Sport Italia explains the reasons behind Massimiliano Allegri’s breakdown in the Coppa Italia Final against Atalanta saying that the Italian tactician has ‘never been’ on good terms with Cristiano Giuntoli and expected better communication from club directors.

Juventus is expected to sack Allegri shortly, and the Bianconeri could even decide to part ways with their coach today. Click here for live updates from Turin.

Allegri lost his cool on Wednesday night, raging at club directors, referees and journalist Guido Vaciago.

Sky Sport notes that it resulted from anger accumulated in the last few months.

Disappointing results and more and more rumours about Allegri’s future without clear communication from directors increased the coach’s frustration, explained reporter Giovanni Guardalà.

Despite official statements and claims, Allegri and Giuntoli have never really been on good terms. The Livorno-born coach was unhappy with the transfer market and felt he had been ‘offloaded’ in an inelegant way.

On the other hand, Allegri has never given directors a chance to discuss his work, given that at the beginning of the season, he was supposed to have a different role and be more central to the project and its future strategies.

Allegri’s reaction at the Olimpico in Rome obviously embarrassed the club, which is now considering sacking him before the last two games of the season.

Sky Sport notes that “coexistence in the final two weeks of the season could be impossible”; therefore, Allegri may leave the Allianz Stadium before Monday’s Serie A fixture against Bologna.
