Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich hailed Inter Milan star Yann Bisseck ahead of his potential debut for Germany.
During a press conference via FCInterNews, Kimmich praised Bisseck’s route to the senior national team.
Yann Bisseck will share the dressing room with Bayern Munich’s long-serving stalwart in the next couple of weeks.
Indeed, the pair will try to help Germany overcome Italy in their heavyweight UEFA Nations League quarter-final tie.
Bisseck could make his senior debut for Die Mannschaft tonight at the San Siro.
That’s familiar ground for the 24-year-old, who has made a name for himself at Inter.
However, he will step on the pitch as a foe this evening, with Germany seeking their first-ever appearance in the finals.
On the other hand, Kimmich has been part of the national team for nearly a decade.
He was part of the squad that failed to secure EURO 2024 glory last summer, losing to Spain in the first knockout round.

“Bisseck has taken a unique path, progressing through various stages,” Kimmich said.
“Not everyone has to follow the traditional route – there are many ways to reach the national team.”
While teammates in Germany’s dressing room, Bisseck and Kimmich will be on opposite sides in less than a month.
Indeed, Inter will take on Bayern Munich in the Champions League quarter-finals.
With Stefan de Vrij struggling with injury, Bisseck could be a starter in the first leg.
Meanwhile, Simone Inzaghi aims to win a treble this season.
Lifting the Champions League trophy is perhaps the most arduous task, given the stiff competition for the throne.
However, the Italians have no reason to fear after only conceding twice in this season’s edition.
