Bayern Munich are reportedly showing interest in Chelsea right-back Malo Gusto.

According to Chelsea reporter Simon Phillips, the German record champions have made an inquiry about the 22-year-old France international.

Gusto featured in 42 games for Chelsea across the 2024/25 campaign, but saw his playing time diminish toward the end of the season.

In light of this, Chelsea could be open to a sale if Bayern submit a concrete offer for the Frenchman, who is currently valued at €35 million by Transfermarkt.

However, a move for Gusto would likely require Bayern to trim their squad. The club currently have three right-backs vying for minutes: Konrad Laimer, Josip Stanisic, and Sacha Boey.

Speaking recently, Bayern board member for sport Max Eberl hinted that Boey could be heading for the exit door.

“With Konny (Konrad Laimer), Stani (Josip Stanisic), and Sacha, we have three right-backs. That’s quite a lot, in fact. Now Sacha is here, and he will play for us. After that, we will see what the future looks like. But having three right-backs is definitely a luxury,” Eberl said.
