With Florian Wirtz set to join Liverpool in a big-money move this summer, Bayer Leverkusen will be looking out for a talented attacking midfielder, who can replace him in the final third.
While Leverkusen have no shortage of options in the market, one player they are keeping a close eye on is Nico Paz.
A product of Real Madrid youth academy, Paz joined Como last summer and has had a brilliant campaign, as he was notably involved in 15 competitive goals.
Como’s big breakthrough have even tempted Real Madrid to bring back the Argentine, as they do have a buyback clause worth just €8 million.
With Real Madrid out of the picture, Bayer Leverkusen are looking to snap up the opportunity to sign Nico Paz this summer.
According to Florian Plettenberg, Leverkusen remain keen on signing the Argentine ace and even see him as a potential long-term replacement for Wirtz.

The report adds that Leverkusen are in active discussion with the player’s management surrounding a potential move to Bay Arena.
Real Madrid, of course, can always activate the buyback option. But it appears Los Blancos have given up on that idea due to various reasons, one of which is that the club have already roped in Franco Mastantuono.
Despite that, they have the option to sign the youngster for just €8 million and then sell him for a quick profit.
As for Como, the Italian outfit, led by coach Cesc Fabregas, are determined to keep hold of Paz’s services.
A final decision regarding the youngster’s future may come soon, with Leverkusen more than keen on giving the player the opportunity to perform in the Bundesliga.
