Bayer Leverkusen join race for Danish talent Victor Froholdt | OneFootball

Recently linked with Borussia Dortmund, Danish international Victor Froholdt is reportedly in the sights of two other Bundesliga clubs. Kicker reports that both Bayer Leverkusen and Eintracht Frankfurt are in the mix. Sky, as relayed by Kicker, also claims that Tottenham Hotspur possess interest in the 19-year-old.

The FC Copenhagen professional has plenty of options to entertain. In the case of the two German clubs, Frankfurt offer a proven track record of helping young Scandinavian midfield talents develop.

Sweden’s Hugo Larsson debuted as a starter for the SGE not long after his 18th birthday and is set for a big money move.Froholdt’s Danish compatriot Oscar Højlund presently seeks to replicate Larsson’s success.

Froholdt nevertheless could receive better playing time prospects with die Werkself  should – as is rumored – a whole host of midfield starters depart. The young box-to-box midfield talent could serve as an important pillar in the rebuilding efforts of Germany’s red company team.
