Barcelona already know their first eight opponents of the UEFA Champions League as they seek to win the European crown this season.
The draw for the league phase of the competition took place earlier today, with the Blaugrana set to face PSG, Chelsea, Newcastle United, Eintracht Frankfurt, Club Brugge, Olympiacos, Slavia Praha, and FC Copenhagen.
Following the draw, Barcelona vice president Rafa Yuste, who attended the event in Monaco, gave his two cents about the opposition that the team will face in the group phase of the competition.
“First and foremost, I am proud to be at this event in the world’s biggest competition,” Yuste told Movistar (h/t SPORT).
“The assessment is that there are no easy teams, we will have to work with a great deal of humility to achieve what all Barça fans long for, which is to win the Champions League.”

Regarding the major rivals in the league phase of the competition, PSG and Chelsea, Yuste expressed confidence in facing them, as he said:
“We have a lot of respect for the European champions and the world champions, but of course we are going to give it our all to try, as Hansi Flick says, to take it step by step.”
Yuste also addressed the issue of the stadium where Barcelona will play their Champions League matches, amid continued Camp Nou return delays, saying:
“I can tell you that the club will announce where we will play shortly, and we will issue a statement on the matter. We will do so when the time is right.”
As reported earlier today, Barcelona have gained more time to finalise their stadium decision with UEFA.
The European governing body has accepted the club’s request to play the first match away from home, allowing additional time to complete works and secure the necessary licences.
